The history of Cyprus is very interesting. Cyprus is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. This is the third largest Mediterranean island, and started as the former British colony. Although more than 2 million tourists visit each year, almost nobody knows the real story behind the country. Cyprus has always been a land full of love and war. According to myth, the goddess Aphrodite was born within the country and has represented the beauty and love. If you think of the word “sex” you’ll see that we get the name of the Goddesses, and I thought it was when the word was true.

Aphrodite is actually why so many couples are flocking to the island. They believe that the island is one of the most romantic of them, and is especially appreciated when it comes to wedding destinations. The myth is that if you marry in Cyprus will have a happy and eternal marriage. Of course it is true or not is still unknown, but there is no doubt that the setting is very romantic.

Only during the last twenty years have found evidence of ancient Cyprus and what might have continued.
